Dr. Joan E. Taylor, FRAS, is Honorary Research Fellow in Ancient History at University College London and Honorary Adjunct Fellow at Waikato University, Hamilton, New Zealand, where she was formerly Senior Lecturer in Religious Studies and History.
She has written numerous articles and books, including Christians and the Holy Places: The Myth of Jewish-Christian Origins (Clarendon, 1993), which won the Irene Levi-Sala Award for being among the three finest books published internationally on the subject of Israel’s archaeology.
