Meir Ben-Dov, archaeologist and historian, has participated in many excavations in the Holy Land and served as a field director for the most important modern excavations in and around the Old City of Jerusalem.
He lectures on Roman and Byzantine art and Muslim archaeology at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and other universities. He is the author of several books, among them In the Shadow of the Temple and Jerusalem, Man and Stone: An Archaeologist's Personal View of His City.
