Shmuel Ahituv, Ph.D., is emeritus professor of Bible and Ancient Near
Eastern Studies at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
He has written several books and is currently editor of the Be'er Sheva Series of the
Department of Bible and Ancient Near Eastern Studies at Ben-Gurion
University.
He is also editor of Mikra Leyisrael (Bible for Israel) commentary, and
editor of the Israel Exploration Journal.
